The Artist
Daniel McFarlane was born in Houston, TX, where he currently lives and works. He earned a BFA in studio art from Sam Houston State University. He was awarded an Alumni Fellowship to attend the University of Florida, and completed an MFA in painting and drawing.
McFarlane's paintings have been exhibited nationally, including; Volume Black Gallery in NYC, the Smithsonian Institution and JFK Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., the Faber Birren National Color Award Show, and Barbara Davis Gallery in Houston, TX. His work is featured in New American Paintings artist book; MFA annnual No. 87, West No. 96, and blog.
